Does It Really Work?
I've never heard of EZ-P™ before. Does it really work?

You haven't heard of it because it didn't exist before. EZ-P™ is a genuinely new product — the first purpose-built, patented bladder management system designed specifically for women who use wheelchairs. Nothing like it existed commercially before Clarion Care brought it to market.

The reason it works is simple: it was designed by someone who needed it. Crystal Anderson — co-founder and wheelchair user — is the origin of EZ-P™. It was built out of personal experience with what didn't work, and iterated until something did.

5/5 Satisfaction rating
95–100% QoL improvement
0 Adverse events
100% Would recommend

Our Founding User Program completed with zero adverse events, a 95–100% reported quality-of-life improvement, and a 5/5 satisfaction rating. Every participant rated EZ-P™ as their #1 preferred method over every alternative they'd previously used.

In Their Own Words

"With this cushion, I don't have to worry about an inaccessible public bathroom or having an accident. Right now there is less stress and less anxiety. I'm sure over time that anxiety will be eliminated entirely." — Victoria N., EZ-P™ Founding Program Participant

Individual results may vary. Outcomes from Founding User Program do not constitute a clinical trial result or FDA efficacy claim.

I've tried everything — catheters, diapers, transfers. Why would this be any different?

Because none of those things were designed for you — not for a woman, not for a wheelchair user, not for seated anatomy, not for public mobility.

Catheters are designed for stationary, clinical settings. Adult briefs are designed for passive, bedridden situations. Toilet transfers are a workaround, not a solution — and they require an accessible bathroom that may not exist wherever you happen to be.

EZ-P™ is the first product purpose-engineered for your exact situation: a woman, seated, mobile, in public, who wants to manage her bladder with dignity and without dependency. Every other solution was borrowed from somewhere else and adapted poorly.

Every Founding Program participant had tried all of those alternatives before EZ-P™ — and every single one chose EZ-P™ as their new #1. That's not a marketing claim — it's what they told us, and we take it seriously.

Our Guarantee

We back EZ-P™ with a full 30-day money-back guarantee. We'd rather earn your trust than your money. Try it — and if it doesn't genuinely change your day, we'll refund you in full.

Will EZ-P™ let me stop restricting my fluid intake?

This is one of the most common — and most heartbreaking — things we hear from wheelchair users: they limit how much they drink throughout the day to avoid needing to use the restroom, because using it is so difficult.

Chronic dehydration in wheelchair users causes kidney stress, concentrated urine that increases infection risk, fatigue, and reduced cognitive function. It's a genuinely serious health consequence of a broken system.

EZ-P™ is designed to remove that reason entirely. When going to the bathroom is as simple as sitting normally and going — wherever you are — there's no reason to restrict fluids.

What One User Told Us

"I also now can drink as much as I like, which is good for my health and I have more energy. It's a game changer!" — EZ-P™ Founding Program Participant

Can EZ-P™ help with bathroom anxiety when I'm out in public?

Yes — and this is one of the most powerful outcomes our Founding Program participants reported.

The anxiety around being away from home — constantly calculating how long you can go without fluids, whether an accessible bathroom exists at your destination, whether you'll need to cut an outing short — shapes every decision. It limits where you go, how long you stay, whether you say yes to things.

When you know you can manage your bladder from your chair, wherever you are, that calculus changes completely.

Victoria N., EZ-P™ Founding Program Participant

"Prior to using EZ-P™, I had a lot of anxiety when outside my house and attempting to use the bathroom. It was constantly on my mind. With this cushion, I don't have to worry about an inaccessible public bathroom or having an accident."

Who is behind EZ-P™? Is this a real company?

Clarion Care, LLC is a medical device company based in Valdosta, Georgia. We exist with a single mission: to solve the problem no one else was solving for women wheelchair users.

EZ-P™ was created by Wes Anderson, CEO, and his wife Crystal — a wheelchair user who lived the problem that EZ-P™ solves. The device is protected by U.S. Patent US12,011,402 B2 and registered as an FDA-Registered Class I Medical Device.

We are a small, focused company — which means when you email us, you hear back from a real person. Every unit we ship matters deeply to us, because we know the woman receiving it has been waiting a long time for something that actually works.

How EZ-P™ Works
What exactly is EZ-P™ — and how does it work?

EZ-P™ is a patented wheelchair cushion with an integrated anatomical funnel and sealed drainage pathway — purpose-built for women who use wheelchairs. You sit on it like a regular cushion. When you need to urinate, gravity does the work: fluid flows through the funnel, through a sealed drainage channel, and into a discreet privacy bag attached to your wheelchair frame.

No power. No pump. No catheters. No transfers. No briefs. Just go — wherever you are.

Patented Innovation

EZ-P™ is protected by U.S. Patent US12,011,402 B2 and is an FDA-Registered Class I Medical Device — the first purpose-built seated bladder management system designed specifically for female wheelchair users.

How do I wipe with EZ-P™?

In most cases, there is no need to wipe at all. The funnel geometry and gravity work together to route urine directly away from your skin and into the sealed drainage pathway, leaving minimal to no residual.

If any residual remains, you have a few options:

  • Wipe yourself or have your caregiver assist — just as you would with any other method.
  • Wait until the end of the day when you remove or clean the cushion — most users find this is sufficient.
User-Reported Results

Founding Program participants reported a 75–99% leak-free success rate with zero adverse skin events during the program period.

Are there any disposables or consumables I need to buy?

The EZ-P™ cushion itself is not a disposable. It is built for daily use over years. You're not throwing anything away every day.

The one consumable in the system is the urine collection bag — a standard catheter drainage bag — which attaches to your wheelchair frame and receives drained fluid. These bags require periodic replacement, just as they would in any catheter-adjacent drainage system. They are widely available, inexpensive, and covered by many insurance plans.

Cost Comparison

Adult briefs and catheter kits are an ongoing monthly expense that adds up to hundreds — or thousands — of dollars per year. EZ-P™ is a one-time purchase with only minimal, low-cost bag replacements over time.

Hygiene & Odor
What about odor? Will anyone know I'm using it?

Odor control is one of the most important design principles of EZ-P™ — and it performs well when used correctly.

Because urine flows immediately through a sealed, enclosed drainage pathway into a closeable privacy bag, it is not sitting against your skin or in an open pad the way adult briefs are. The key to minimal odor: empty the collection bag regularly, keep the drainage pathway clean, and maintain normal hydration.

  • Empty the bag when it's approximately half to two-thirds full — don't allow it to sit for extended periods.
  • Stay hydrated. Concentrated urine has a stronger odor. Ironically, drinking more water — something many wheelchair users restrict to avoid bathroom trips — actually reduces odor. EZ-P™ removes the reason to restrict fluids.
  • Sanitize the drainage system periodically with rubbing alcohol — simple and fast. See cleaning instructions below.
User Report

"I also now can drink as much as I like, which is good for my health and I have more energy." — EZ-P™ Founding Program Participant

With proper use, EZ-P™ is significantly more discreet and odor-controlled than adult briefs — and carries none of the skin-saturation odor associated with incontinence pads.

How do I clean EZ-P™?

EZ-P™ is designed for easy daily hygiene. The silicone funnel and TPU drainage pathway can be rinsed and wiped clean. The cover assembly is removable and washable. Full care instructions are included with every unit.

To sanitize the drainage system, simply flush or wipe the funnel and drainage pathway with rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol). This quickly kills bacteria and neutralizes odor-causing residue — no special cleaners needed. Allow to air-dry briefly before use.

The drainage bag should be emptied and rinsed regularly and replaced periodically — exactly as you would with a standard catheter bag.

Quick Daily Routine

Rinse the funnel and pathway with water after use. Use alcohol periodically for a deeper sanitize. Empty and rinse the collection bag regularly. That's it.

What about cleaning the inside of the cushion?

You may never need to — and that's by design. The funnel is fully sealed, so fluid is routed away from the cushion interior entirely. There is no pathway for liquid to reach the inside of the cushion during normal use.

We also made a deliberate choice to eliminate foam from EZ-P™ altogether. Foam absorbs liquid over time, breaks down, and becomes a hygiene problem that's difficult to solve. Instead, EZ-P™ uses a food-grade polymer core and medical-grade gel materials — both non-absorbent and fully water-washable. If you ever need to clean the cushion interior, a simple rinse with water is all it takes. No washing machine. No dryer. No special products.

The outer cover can be wiped down with a damp cloth for everyday maintenance, or removed and hand-washed periodically when needed. It air-dries quickly.

Designed for Real Life

EZ-P™ was built to be practical — not just functional. The materials were chosen specifically to eliminate the cleaning headaches that come with foam-based products, so maintenance stays simple even with daily use.

Fit & Anatomy
How can I be sure EZ-P™ will work for my individual anatomy?

EZ-P™'s funnel geometry — a 4.20" internal diameter anatomically positioned for seated female pelvic geometry — is designed to work for the majority of female wheelchair users across a wide range of body types and diagnoses, including SCI, MS, MD, stroke, and cerebral palsy.

That said, we know every body is different, and we don't want you guessing. Before you order, we recommend completing our User Fit Guide — a quick questionnaire that confirms compatibility for your specific situation.

When to Use the Fit Guide

If you have significant pelvic tilt, scoliosis, very low body weight, or a non-standard seating position, the Fit Guide is especially important. Standard fits proceed directly to purchase. Complex cases are routed to a personal fit consultation with our team.

We built this tool specifically so fit uncertainty is never a reason not to try EZ-P™.

I have significant spasticity / pelvic tilt / unique seating setup. Can EZ-P™ still work for me?

Possibly — and the best way to find out is through our Fit Guide and, if needed, a direct consultation with our team. We will not recommend EZ-P™ if we don't believe it will genuinely work for your situation.

Our honest commitment to you: if EZ-P™ isn't right for your anatomy or setup, we'll tell you — and we won't take your money.

Our Promise

We offer a full 30-day money-back guarantee. If EZ-P™ doesn't work for you after a fair trial, you get your money back. No argument.

Cost & Access
I can't afford it. What are my options?

We designed EZ-P™ to be as accessible as possible. Here's every pathway available to you right now:

  • Scholarship Program — We reserve one EZ-P™ unit per cohort at no cost for a woman who would genuinely benefit but faces financial hardship. No formal application, no judgment. Apply here.
  • HSA / FSA Eligible — As an FDA-Registered Class I Medical Device, EZ-P™ may qualify for purchase using your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Confirm eligibility with your plan administrator.
  • Payment Plan — We want to work with you. If a payment plan would make EZ-P™ possible, email info@clarion-care.com and let's talk.
  • Long-Term Cost Comparison — EZ-P™ at $599 replaces an ongoing monthly spend on adult briefs, catheter kits, and caregiver hours. Many users recover the full cost within 1–2 months in saved caregiver time alone.
Estimated Savings

EZ-P™ can eliminate $300–$750/month in professional caregiver costs by removing the need for assisted bathroom transfers — paying for itself in as little as one month.

What if EZ-P™ doesn't work for me? What's the return policy?

We offer a full 30-day money-back guarantee. If EZ-P™ doesn't genuinely improve your bladder management experience after a fair trial period, we'll refund you in full — no questions asked.

We don't want you paying for something that doesn't help you.

Our Honest Advice

Before ordering, complete the User Fit Guide. It takes a few minutes and eliminates guesswork about whether EZ-P™ is compatible with your anatomy and setup. It's the single best thing you can do before purchase.

Will insurance cover EZ-P™?

We are actively working on HCPCS reimbursement coding, which is the pathway that allows DME (durable medical equipment) items to be billed to Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance. Once established, EZ-P™ can be prescribed by a physician or OT/PT and covered as a reimbursed medical device.

In the meantime, HSA and FSA funds are the most direct payment pathway for most users. EZ-P™ may also be eligible under certain VA benefits for qualifying veterans — contact us and we can help explore options for your situation.

We'll update this page as insurance coverage pathways expand.

How do I justify the cost of EZ-P™?

At $599, EZ-P™ feels like a significant purchase. But when you stack it against what you're already spending — in real dollars and real time — the math changes quickly.

What you're already paying every month:

  • Adult briefs / incontinence pads: $50–$150/month depending on frequency and brand. Over a year that's $600–$1,800 — more than the cost of EZ-P™ in the first year alone.
  • Catheter supplies (intermittent): $150–$400/month for catheters, drainage bags, insertion supplies, and lubricant. Many users catheterize 4–6 times daily. That's $1,800–$4,800 per year.
  • Urinary tract infections (UTIs): UTIs are among the most common complications for wheelchair users, particularly catheter users. A single treated UTI — including urgent care or ER visit, antibiotics, and follow-up — averages $300–$1,500 out of pocket. Recurring UTIs can cost thousands annually and carry serious long-term health risks.
  • Professional caregiver time for bathroom assistance: At $20–$25/hr, a single assisted toilet transfer (30–60 min including setup, transfer, and repositioning) costs $10–$25 each time. For users requiring 3–4 transfers per day, that's $900–$2,250/month in caregiver time — just for bathroom trips.
  • Family caregiver time: Even if a family member provides care at no direct cost, the time is real. 30–80 minutes per day of caregiver time devoted to bathroom management adds up to 180–490 hours per year — time that has measurable value and personal cost.
The Real Math

A wheelchair user relying on adult briefs + professional caregiver transfers can spend $15,000–$30,000 per year on bladder management — not including UTI treatment costs. EZ-P™ at $599 is a one-time purchase that begins paying for itself within the first month for most users.

Beyond dollars, consider the time. Women who use EZ-P™ report reclaiming 30–80 minutes every day that was previously consumed by transfers, accidents, and recovery. Over a year, that's hundreds of hours returned to your life — time spent working, with family, in the community, or simply resting.

EZ-P™ isn't an expense. For most users, it's the most cost-effective bladder management decision they've ever made.

EZ-P™ vs. Other Solutions
How does EZ-P™ compare to catheters, adult diapers, and toilet transfers?

Our Founding Program participants have tried them all — and rated EZ-P™ their #1 preferred solution over every alternative. Here's why:

MethodInvasive?Infection RiskCaregiver Needed?Works Anywhere?
✨ EZ-P™ No Minimal Not required Yes
Indwelling Catheter Yes — inserted High (UTI risk) Often yesMostly yes
Intermittent Catheter Yes — each use Moderate Often yesLimited
Adult Briefs / Diapers No Skin irritation Yes — to change Yes — but undignified
Toilet Transfer No Low Almost always Requires accessible facility

Catheters carry real risks: UTI rates for long-term catheter users are significantly elevated, and insertion requires either self-catheterization skill or caregiver assistance. They're also uncomfortable and not designed for public mobility.

Adult briefs require a caregiver to change them, cause skin irritation and breakdown with prolonged use, are undignified, and create persistent odor. Most users describe them as a last resort — not a real solution.

Toilet transfers require an accessible bathroom, significant physical assistance, transfer risk for both user and caregiver, and often 30–60 minutes of total time. They chain you to a schedule and a location — and anxiety about finding the next accessible restroom shapes every outing.

Founding Program Verdict

Every Founding Program participant rated EZ-P™ as their #1 preferred method over all prior alternatives. 100% said they would recommend it. 95–100% reported quality-of-life improvement.

Individual results may vary. Outcomes from Founding User Program do not constitute a clinical trial result or FDA efficacy claim.

How does EZ-P™ compare to PureWick?

PureWick is a well-known product made by BD (Becton Dickinson) — and for women who are bedridden, hospitalized, or sleeping, it can be a helpful option. We respect what they've built for that use case. But if you use a wheelchair and want to live your life outside the home, PureWick and EZ-P™ are solving fundamentally different problems.

FeatureEZ-P™PureWick
Designed for wheelchair use Purpose-built Designed for bed/reclined use
Works while seated & mobile Yes — gravity-driven Reduced effectiveness when seated; designed for lying down
Requires a pump / power source No — fully passive Yes — electric suction pump required at all times
Silent operation Completely silent Audible pump noise during use
Disposable / ongoing cost Reusable cushion — low ongoing cost Single-use wicks replaced every 8–12 hours; ~$209/box of 30
Requires body placement each use No — sit down and go Must be manually positioned between labia each use
Integrated into wheelchair seating Yes — it is the cushion Separate device; must be managed alongside seating
Usable in public / community settings Yes — discreet, no equipment visible Pump and canister must travel with you; less discreet

The bottom line: PureWick was designed for stationary, clinical, or in-bed use — and it works well in that context. EZ-P™ was designed for women who are upright, mobile, and out in the world. If you use a wheelchair and want a solution that works at the grocery store, at a restaurant, or at your daughter's soccer game — without a pump, without disposables, and without anyone knowing — EZ-P™ is the product PureWick was never built to be.

Annual Cost Comparison

At ~$209 per box of 30 wicks (replaced every 8–12 hours), PureWick consumable costs alone can reach $2,500–$3,800 per year — before factoring in the pump system hardware. EZ-P™ is a one-time purchase with only low-cost drainage bag replacements over time.

PureWick™ is a trademark of C. R. Bard, Inc., a subsidiary of BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company). Clarion Care is not affiliated with BD. Pricing based on publicly available retail data. Individual use and costs vary.

For Caregivers
How does EZ-P™ help caregivers?

Bathroom management is one of the most physically demanding, time-consuming, and emotionally complicated tasks in wheelchair care. EZ-P™ changes that equation significantly.

30–80+ min saved per day
15–30 hrs freed per month
$300–$750 saved monthly

Time saved, every single day. Assisted toilet transfers typically consume 30–60 minutes per trip. For women who use the restroom multiple times a day, that adds up to hours of daily caregiver time. EZ-P™ eliminates most of those trips.

Physical injury risk eliminated. The lifting, pivoting, and supporting involved in toilet transfers put caregivers at real risk of back and shoulder injury. EZ-P™ removes that risk from the equation entirely.

No more location dependency. With EZ-P™, the user doesn't need an accessible bathroom nearby. Both caregiver and user gain spontaneity and freedom.

Reduced caregiver burnout. EZ-P™ restores dignity and privacy for the user — which meaningfully reduces the emotional burden on caregivers too.

For Professional Caregivers

If you're an OT, PT, seating clinician, or facility staff member interested in EZ-P™ for the people you care for, contact us at info@clarion-care.com. We have institutional pricing conversations available.

Can a caregiver help set up and empty EZ-P™?

Absolutely. Positioning EZ-P™ on the chair, attaching the drainage bag, and emptying the collection bag periodically can all be done by a caregiver — and are simple tasks compared to the physical demands of transfer-based bathroom assistance. Full instructions are included with every unit.
