What we are actually measuring
A standard cushion is built
for an average. You are not one.
Where flow meets the seating surface sits in a different place on every body — and shifts again with pelvic tilt, obliquity, scoliosis or a fusion. PrecisionFit™ finds that place on your body from a single photo, and turns it into one dimension your cushion is built to.
An absorbent pad goes down first, then the printed grid on top. The pad catches everything, so nothing reaches your cushion or your chair. The grid squares are a known size, so the photo you send can be measured rather than estimated.
You use it seated, exactly as you normally sit. Not on a bench, not in a clinic. The mark that appears is the physical record of where flow meets the surface for you — in your chair, at your usual posture, with the absorbent pad underneath holding everything.
We trace the outline and scale it against the printed squares. Because the grid size is known, the photo calibrates itself — pixels become inches. There is nothing for you to measure, record or calculate.
The outline reduces to a single point. We weight it toward the densest part of the mark rather than taking the geometric middle, so the point follows where flow actually pooled. That point is the void centroid.
Seated anatomy is not symmetrical front to back. Stream direction and the rearward pelvic tilt of a seated position both shift where the opening needs to sit relative to the mark. A fixed anatomical offset toward the seat back is applied, and that gives the drain-hole target.
Your EZ-P™ is then built to that point. The funnel and the two load-bearing gel discs are set to your target rather than to a standard position — and you see the specification and approve it before any of it is made.

Do I have to buy anything?
No. The kit is free, we ship it free, and there is no obligation to order afterward.
Do I have to measure anything myself?
No. You place the printed grid from your kit and take one photo. We read the measurements off that photo — there is nothing for you to measure, record or calculate.
What exactly are you measuring?
Two numbers: how far across the cushion, and how far forward from the rear edge, your funnel should sit. We get them by tracing the mark on your printed grid, calibrating it against the known square size, reducing it to a single centre point, and applying a fixed offset toward the seat back for seated posture.
It is a dimensional measurement used to build your cushion. It is not an assessment of your body and it is not performed by clinicians.
Will anything get on my chair?
No. An absorbent pad goes down first and the printed grid sits on top of it, so everything is caught by the pad. Your cushion and your chair stay dry. When you are finished you throw the pad and the grid away — nothing is returned to us.
Do I mail anything back?
No. You upload one photo, then throw away the pad and the grid. Nothing used in the assessment is returned to us.
Is this a medical examination?
No. It is a dimensional measurement used to specify how your cushion is built. Not a diagnosis, not treatment, and not performed by clinicians.
How far can the funnel be moved?
That depends on your seat size — a larger cushion has more material to work with. We confirm what is possible for your chair when we review your photo, and we tell you before anything is built.
What if my chair isn't a standard size?
Send your seat measurements along with your photo and we will confirm what we can build for you before you order.
Who sees my photo?
Only the people who specify and build your EZ-P™. It is stored securely with your record, never posted or shared.
We keep your photo for 60 days, then delete it. The measurements taken from it stay with your build record.
Is PrecisionFit™ extra?
No. PrecisionFit™ is included with every EZ-P™, at no extra cost. Every order starts with the free Fit Kit, so your cushion is built to the fit you approve.
